Swain Education Building

Adjacent to the Learning Lodge is the Swain Education Building. It is a log school building named in honor of Bill Swain, an ardent supporter of The Museum of Scott County and education in general. Mr. Swain was dedicated to the idea that anyone, when given the proper educational tools, can succeed. His motto, “Keep on keeping on” has been one of the main forces that drives the continuance of this project. This is a multi-purpose building that is equipped with a full kitchen and seating for up to 50 people. It is used to host various activities such as business meetings, guest speakers for civic groups and students at Scott High. It can also accommodate other events such as graduation parties and wedding showers.
